ANNOUNCEMENT OF CANDIDACY FOR COUNCILLOR LOCKYER VALLEY LOCAL ELECTIONS 2024

Compassionate and dedicated to her local community, it is with pleasure that Jenny-lee Carr is announcing her candidacy for Councillor Lockyer Valley Regional Council Local Elections in March 2024. 

Ms Carr has called the Lockyer Valley home since 2007. Ms Carr is passionate about the local community and is focused on “Communities future starts with People First”. She is focusing on “Together we can create great things”. 

Ms Carr possesses diverse experiences, not only as a Woman and Mother but also as a passionate individual dedicated to driving positive change within the local community. She brings a wealth of knowledge from extensive experience in the health industry working as a Nurse. Her work has been primarily focused on caring for individuals in their most vulnerable state. She has compassion and empathy and knows how to listen to the core issues and negotiate the best outcomes for all. As an advocate for positive change in the health industry, Ms Carr would like to use her experiences to champion the needs of the community she will serve as a councillor and proudly represent all members of the community. 

Ms Carr has completed the Pathways to Politics for Women – QUT Brisbane. This has allowed Ms Carr to focus on her goals and run for Councillor in the March 2024 elections. 

As a local community member living in the Lockyer Valley, Ms Carr places great importance on her children's local education and subsequent employment within the region. Her primary focus centres on nurturing the area's growth and progress, ensuring a promising future for both present and upcoming generations.

Centring her approach around the belief that the "Communities future starts with People first," Ms Carr is committed to serving community members with innovation, transparency, and utmost respect and integrity. Her goal is to foster an environment where the mantra "Together we can create great things" becomes a reality.
